Cantieri Navali Chioggia, an italian shipyard in the north Adriatic area, renowned for the construction, repair and maintenance of ships and yachts up to 100m has launched their first Ocean King 88' during the summer 2012.
She made her world debut at the 2012 Cannes boat show, before to attend the 2012 Genoa Boat Show where she received a Nautical Design Award.
This 26.6m explorer yacht is a sturdy looking vessel, styled on a supply ship, which is designed to face any sea conditions with reassuring comfort and stability, and be easily managed by a small crew.
Designed by Innave, this Ocean Tug has a steel displacement hull and an aluminum superstructure.
RINA certified, she is powered by Two MAN D 2842 LE 419 diesels allowing her a 9,500 NM range at 8 knots.
This yacht has accommodation for eight guests and five crew members and with a 8m beam she offers plenty of interior volume.
As for the layout, the lower deck provides four en suite cabins: the owner's, a VIP and two guests.
The main deck features at the forward end the crew quarters including the galley. Directly aft is the dining area. Aft, the main salon leads onto the aft cockpit.
The upper deck has a large captain’s cabin and a well-appointed helm forward. Aft, a socialising area hosts a large salon.
Finally, the flybridge has a spa pool, sunpads, and plenty of space for portable furniture.
The Ocean King 88' is the middle size expedition yacht in a range which includes the 66' and 110'.
