“I am excited, filled with pride and enthusiasm to bring this fine brand back to the boating public with a new 32’ sedan trawler filled with features that exceed today’s boaters demands,” stated David E. Marlow, chairman of Marlow Acquisitions regarding the launch of the new Marlow Mainship 32 at the 2013 Miami International Boat Show.

Marlow Acquisitions purchased in August 2012 all the assets of Hunter Marine Corporation including the molds, tooling, and branding rights to Mainship.

“We have maximized the prodigious talent in engineering, design, and craftsmanship at Marlow Hunter to bring the new Mainship line to the boating marketplace. Since the purchase by Marlow the strategic plan has been to diversify into trawler production and utilize our modern technologies and practices in advanced yacht manufacturing Marlow Hunter practices on a routine basis. This first boat from “America’s Trawler” will begin the development of a full line of cruising trawlers from Marlow Mainship. In addition to the Marlow Hunter sailboats, and now the Marlow Mainship trawlers, we have continued to build the successful and unique Gemini catamaran on an OEM basis. Bottom line….with these three brands under the Marlow Hunter roof the critical mass to achieve a superior level of quality at affordable pricing to boaters worldwide is cemented. The ingredients to thrive, if I dare use that word, are in place,” commented Mr. John Peterson, President of Marlow Hunter.

Designed in-house, the Marlow Mainship 32 will be powered by two Yanmar engines.

As for the layout, the lower deck will have a superb berth, a spacious and well-equipped galley with twin port and starboard seating.

The main deck will feature the helm, companion and navigator seats including a refrigerator and icemaker forward. Aft, the expansive saloon with sliding patio doors will have seating for six.

Marlow Mainship plans a minimum of four new models over the next two model years to position itself as “America’s largest Trawler” brand.
